My Story

As the oldest of ten children growing up on a farm, I learned responsibility early. My days were spent working in fields, tending horses, milking cows by hand, and helping provide for our family. However, unbeknownst to others, I carried deep insecurity. This insecurity was developed in my early years at school. Learning never came easily, and the bullying I experienced left wounds I didn’t know how to express. I left school after eighth grade feeling ashamed, disconnected, and uncertain about my future. For years, I wrestled silently with insecurity, emotional pain, and questions about identity and purpose.

But my story did not end there.

Through God’s grace, relationships that helped me heal, and the guidance of wise mentors, my life began to change. I later earned my GED, completed two years of seminary training, and spent three transformative years serving on staff at an intensive therapy center. I also received my certification from the Certified Life Coach Institute, equipping me to walk alongside others seeking healing and personal growth with professionalism and compassion. Those years changed my life.

I learned how to grieve loss in healthy ways. I learned the importance of emotional healing, healthy boundaries, honest communication, and meaningful relationships. I experienced firsthand what restoration can look like when someone is given safe space, truth, guidance, and compassion.

Today, my passion is helping men navigate insecurity, relationship struggles, grief, emotional wounds, life transitions, and personal growth. I know what it feels like to feel stuck. I know what it feels like to question your worth or wonder whether real change is possible. I can assure you: It is possible.

Helping Men Find Their Way Back to Connection, Purpose, and Presence

Coach Harold Troyer

I believe my calling is simple: to sit with people, listen to their stories, and walk alongside them as they move toward healing, restoration, and wholeness.

Much of my heart is devoted to men’s coaching and helping men rediscover what it means to live with strength, integrity, tenderness, courage, and emotional honesty. Many men today feel isolated, uncertain, or disconnected. Some never had a healthy example of masculinity or fatherhood modeled for them. Others are carrying grief, shame, relationship pain, anger, fear, or silent exhaustion while trying to hold life together on their own.

I want to help create a safe place where men can have honest conversations without judgment. A place where healing, accountability, emotional growth, and spiritual clarity are welcomed.

This is not about perfection.
It is about restoration.
It is about becoming whole.

If you are longing for guidance, clarity, healing, or simply a place where your story matters, you are not alone. There is a path forward, and you do not have to walk it by yourself.

My Approach

My approach to restorative life coaching is rooted in the belief that meaningful change begins when people feel safe enough to be honest about where they are and hopeful enough to believe growth is possible. I do not see people as problems to be “fixed.” More often, they are carrying pain, disappointment, grief, fear, insecurity, or patterns that developed over time while simply trying to survive life as best they could.

Restorative Life Coaching is about helping people reconnect with who they truly are beneath those layers. It is a client-centered approach focused on clarity, emotional health, meaningful relationships, personal growth, and learning healthier ways to navigate life’s challenges.

Together, we work toward greater peace, confidence, resilience, and purpose—not through pressure or perfection, but through honest conversation, practical tools, accountability, and steady forward movement.

For many men, this journey includes learning how to:

  • communicate more honestly

  • process emotions in healthy ways

  • establish healthy boundaries

  • navigate relationships with greater confidence

  • work through grief, insecurity, or past wounds

  • rediscover purpose and direction

  • embrace both strength and tenderness with integrity

My coaching style is relational, grounded, and compassionate. I want every client to experience a sense of dignity, belonging, and safety while also being challenged toward meaningful growth and lasting change.

I work with people from many backgrounds and life experiences, and I believe each person carries an inner capacity for healing, resilience, and transformation. Sometimes what people need most is not judgment or quick answers, but a safe place to slow down, tell the truth about what they’re carrying, and begin taking healthy steps forward.

That is the kind of space I hope to create.
